The Tech Treasure team is developing a move-out recycling program for the Georgia Tech campus. In the absence of administrative initiative, Georgia Tech loses an estimated 10 tons of recoverable electronics, household appliances, and larger household items such as couches and comforters every move-out. They want to implement a program to intercept these goods to then donate to a charity with operations in Atlanta. They are also pursuing partnerships with other on-campus recovery programs such as those that operate food drives and book drives to potentially increase the effectiveness of overall GT move-out recycling.
