Robocop believes the security of digital information on college campuses is an issue. Based on a survey we conducted with Georgia Tech students, 42% of them reported to have lost their data, and 64% of all students stated that the loss of their computer data would be a severe detriment to the likelihood of success at college. Nearly 1 out of 2 people lose computer data each year. This abundance of loss of data is mainly due to hard drive failure and data corruption, as seen in an additional survey.
As college students, Robocop understands the importance of protecting the data that is saved on our computers and is working toward a solution to solve this problem. They are considering a comprehensive, easy-to-use program that provides an automatic backup to the cloud service to which every Georgia Tech student has access.
