Within the Atlanta Public School system, a shocking number of students fail to complete their high school education, and overall grades are on the decline. Many studies have found that a solid foundation at the elementary school level is key to later success, and thus The Ensemble seeks to increase students’ learning retention in the elementary school classroom, ultimately resulting in higher test scores and academic performance. They intend to do this through the integration of fine arts, particularly music, as a teaching tool, and augmentation of the core curricula.
